Chiropractic Family Wellness Clinic The Chattanooga Chiropractor - Care Team portrait_edit

Good care depends on more than just what happens in the treatment room.

It starts when you schedule your appointment. It continues through each part of your visit and includes everyone working behind the scenes to keep our clinic running smoothly.

Our Chattanooga wellness team includes chiropractors trained in Atlas Orthogonal and Activator techniques, licensed massage therapists, and clinical support staff who assist with X-rays and cold laser therapy. We also have an office manager who helps keep your experience organized from beginning to end.

Each team member brings different training, responsibilities, and experience to the clinic. However, everyone shares the same goal: to make sure you feel welcomed, informed, and comfortable while you’re here.

Founded by Dr. Erin Bishop, Chiropractic Family Wellness Center is proudly woman-owned and operated. We’re also honored to have a military veteran on our provider team, Dr. Mackenzie Beckwith.

Take a moment to meet the people behind your care and learn more about the role each person plays at our Chattanooga clinic.

Erin Bishop, D.C.

Founder, Provider

Dr. Erin Bishop founded Chiropractic Family Wellness Center with a clear goal. She wanted to build a practice where patients feel heard, understand their care, and receive support that considers more than one symptom.

Dr. Erin earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University, graduating magna cum laude. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Kennesaw State University.

Her additional training includes:

  • Pediatric chiropractic care

  • The Webster Technique

  • The Activator Method

  • Atlas Orthogonal

  • The Thompson Technique

  • The Diversified Technique

While her education includes several chiropractic methods, her current practice focuses on Atlas Orthogonal and Activator adjustments. These instrument-assisted techniques allow her to work with the upper neck, spine, and joints throughout the body without forceful manual manipulation.

Dr. Erin also provides prenatal chiropractic care and has completed training in the Webster Technique. She adapts care throughout pregnancy based on the patient’s comfort, stage of pregnancy, and current needs.

Her interest in chiropractic care began after a minor sports injury. The experience introduced her to a new way of thinking about movement, function, and recovery.

Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Erin spent 10 years coaching competitive cheerleading and gymnastics. She also earned a National Collegiate Championship in competitive cheerleading in 2009. That background gave her a strong understanding of how physical demands, repetitive movement, and injuries can affect the body.

As a mother of four, Dr. Erin understands how difficult it can be for families to make their health a priority. She wants care to feel clear, practical, and manageable within everyday life.

Her approach combines chiropractic care with education about movement, exercise, nutrition, and daily habits. She also draws on principles of functional wellness when discussing factors that may affect how a patient feels and functions.

Most of all, Dr. Erin wants patients to understand what’s happening in their bodies and why she’s recommending a certain course of care. She believes people make better health decisions when they feel informed, included, and comfortable asking questions.

Chiropractic Family Wellness Clinic The Chattanooga Chiropractor - Dr Mackenzie Beckwith

Mackenzie Beckwith, D.C.

Provider

Caring for others has always played an important role in Dr. Mackenzie Beckwith’s life. Before becoming a chiropractor, she served as a police officer in the U.S. Navy. Her military experience taught her to remain patient, listen carefully, and approach people with compassion.

After chiropractic care helped her find relief, Dr. Mackenzie discovered a new way to continue serving others. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in 2022.

Dr. Mackenzie has always been curious about how things work. That curiosity grew into a strong interest in biology, physiology, and the way the body’s systems work together. She continues to study current research and looks for practical ways to apply what she learns in patient care.

Her clinical techniques include:

  • Atlas Orthogonal

  • Orthospinology

  • The Activator Method

  • Trigger point therapy

Dr. Mackenzie begins by listening to what brought each patient into the clinic. She wants people to feel comfortable asking questions and taking part in decisions about their care. She also explains what she finds, which technique she recommends, and what the adjustment is meant to address.

Her view of health extends beyond chiropractic adjustments. She encourages patients to consider how movement, food, sleep, and emotional health may affect how they feel. Her goal is to help people better understand their bodies and make realistic choices that support their daily lives.

Few things bring Dr. Mackenzie more joy than seeing a patient recognize their progress. She loves watching people regain confidence and feel more hopeful about what they can do.

Her relationship with Jesus Christ is at the center of her life. Her faith gives her a strong sense of purpose and guides the way she treats others. She works to reflect that faith through patience, kindness, and the care she gives each person.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Mackenzie enjoys cooking from scratch, reading, staying active, and volunteering with fourth- and fifth-grade students at her church. She loves learning and exploring, but she’s a homebody at heart. Her perfect day is a rainy afternoon at home with her husband, Michael, their Pomeranian, Roman, and their Persian cats, Pudge and Jeffy.

Chiropractic Family Wellness Clinic The Chattanooga Chiropractor - Mariel Bourdon Massage Therapist

Mariel Bourdon, LMT

Massage Therapist

Mariel’s interest in massage therapy grew from her own experience with chronic neck pain. For nearly 10 years, she struggled with pain and limited movement. She tried several treatments, but massage was the first approach that helped her feel better and move more freely.

That experience inspired her to study at the Massage Institute of Cleveland. She has worked as a licensed massage therapist since 2023.

Because she knows what it’s like to live with ongoing pain, Mariel never wants clients to feel rushed or unheard. She begins each appointment by helping them settle in and relax. From there, she focuses on the areas that feel tight, sore, or restricted.

Mariel offers several massage techniques, including:

  • Deep tissue massage

  • Hot stone massage

  • Medi-cupping

  • Prenatal massage

  • Thai massage

  • Neuromuscular therapy

  • Trigger point therapy

  • Stretch therapy

Clear communication is an important part of every session. Mariel encourages clients to speak up about pressure, positioning, and the areas that need more attention. This helps her adjust the massage as the session progresses.

Clients can book with Mariel for massage therapy alone. Those who also receive chiropractic care can choose to have her coordinate with Dr. Erin. This allows both providers to understand the client’s goals and support their care from different angles.

Movement is also a big part of Mariel’s life outside the clinic. She runs trails daily and spends many weekends hiking, climbing, kayaking, or cycling. She and her husband even cycled across Scotland together. Her active lifestyle gives her a firsthand understanding of how much comfortable movement can affect the way someone works, rests, and enjoys everyday life.

Chiropractic Family Wellness Clinic The Chattanooga Chiropractor - Mary Kate Xray Tech

Marykate Talley

X-Ray/Cold Laser Technician

Marykate Talley helps patients feel comfortable from their first conversation with the clinic. She schedules new patients, takes X-rays, assists with cold laser therapy, and helps keep each day running smoothly.

Marykate was drawn to healthcare because she wanted to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She enjoys getting to know patients and helping them feel less overwhelmed as they begin care.

One of the most rewarding parts of her job is seeing patients become more comfortable and confident over time. She especially enjoys watching their personalities come through as they begin feeling more like themselves again.

Marykate wants every patient to feel heard and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. She takes pride in being someone they can turn to with questions and appreciates working with a team that shares that same commitment.

Chiropractic Family Wellness Clinic The Chattanooga Chiropractor - Fran Office Manager

Fran Simmons

Office Manager

Fran has been part of Chiropractic Family Wellness Center from the beginning. She joined the practice when it opened in October 2023 and brings more than 20 years of industry experience to her role. She has also worked alongside Dr. Erin for years as both a trusted friend and colleague.

As Office Manager, Fran helps keep the clinic organized and the team moving in the same direction. Just as importantly, she makes sure patients feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrive.

Patients may walk through the door in pain, nervous about an appointment, or simply having a difficult day. Fran looks for small ways to help them feel more at ease. She considers it a good day when someone leaves the office with a smile.

Fran takes pride in caring for people and supporting the team behind the scenes. She knows that a well-run office creates a better experience for both patients and providers.

Outside the clinic, Fran enjoys reading, traveling, and taking on home improvement projects. She loves decorating and finding ways to bring new life to a space. She’s also especially fond of power tools because, as Fran puts it, a girl can never have enough!
