Whole-Person Care Begins With the Whole Story
How you feel isn’t shaped by one joint, muscle, or moment in time. Previous injuries, movement patterns, muscle tension, physical activity, work demands, and everyday habits can all influence how your body moves and functions.

That’s why we don’t want to look at one symptom without considering the person experiencing it. We take your health history, concerns, goals, and daily life into account when deciding whether our services may be appropriate.

This doesn’t mean we believe every health concern can be explained or addressed through chiropractic care. It means we take time to understand the broader context, make responsible recommendations, and remain clear about what falls within our scope.

Our goal is to provide care that feels personal because it is personal. Your recommendations should reflect your body and your needs, not a predetermined routine applied to every patient.

How Chiropractic Care and
Massage Therapy
Can Work Together
Joints, muscles and soft tissues work together when you move. It makes sense to consider how they may also influence one another when something feels restricted, tense or uncomfortable.

Chiropractic care and massage therapy address different parts of the musculoskeletal system. Our chiropractors evaluate joint movement and physical function, while our licensed massage therapists work with muscles, soft tissue, tension and mobility.

Each service can be booked independently. You don’t need to be a chiropractic patient to schedule a massage, and receiving chiropractic care doesn’t automatically mean massage therapy will be part of your plan.

When both services are appropriate, our providers can coordinate around the patient’s individual goals. The purpose isn’t to add more treatment, but to make thoughtful use of the services that may complement one another.

Cold laser therapy is also available as a separate supportive service and may be recommended when it is appropriate for the patient’s needs.
Helping You Move, Function and Understand Your Body
Our providers want patients to feel involved in their care. That means helping you understand what we’re considering, why a recommendation may be made and how it connects to the goals that brought you to our office.

Care isn’t only about what happens during an appointment. When appropriate, our team may also offer practical guidance related to movement, exercise, posture or daily routines.

We want you to leave with a clearer understanding of your body and a more active role in the decisions surrounding your health.

Understand the Reasoning
We’ll explain the purpose behind our recommendations in clear, everyday language. You should be able to ask questions and understand why a particular care option is being discussed.

Participate in Your Care
Your goals, preferences and comfort level matter. Care should be a collaborative conversation, not something that simply happens to you.

Support Everyday Function
The goal is to help you participate more comfortably in work, exercise, family life and the activities that matter to you.

Your Health History and Comfort Matter
People arrive with different bodies, experiences, and healthcare needs. Age, pregnancy, mobility, sensory sensitivities, and existing diagnoses can all affect what a manageable appointment looks like.

We can adjust positioning, pacing, and the overall environment when reasonable and appropriate. We also encourage patients to let us know when they need extra support, more time to change positions, fewer sensory triggers, or a clearer explanation before we proceed.

If you have POTS, MCAS, hypermobility, or another complex condition, that information is important to the conversation. We don’t present chiropractic care as a treatment for these conditions. Instead, we consider how your diagnosis may affect your experience in the office and whether additional coordination with your medical providers is needed.

Pregnant patients, infants, and children also have different physical and communication needs. Click below to learn how we approach prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care in our practice.
Responsible Care Includes Knowing Its Limits
Chiropractic care can be one part of a broader healthcare plan. It isn’t a replacement for necessary medical treatment, and we won’t make promises beyond what chiropractic care is reasonably intended to support.

If your symptoms, health history, or examination findings suggest that another type of evaluation is needed, we’ll let you know. When appropriate, we’re also comfortable coordinating with primary care providers, specialists, physical therapists, and other members of your healthcare team.

Trust is built through honest communication. This includes being clear when another provider is better suited to address a concern.
The Vision Behind the Practice
A Practice Built Around Families, Movement and Education
Dr. Erin Bishop’s interest in chiropractic care began after a minor sports injury showed her its potential role in movement and physical function. Her background in exercise physiology, competitive athletics, and coaching gave her an early appreciation for how the body moves and responds to physical demands.

She founded Chiropractic Family Wellness Center to create the kind of practice she believed patients deserved. It’s a place where questions are welcomed, care is personalized, and patients can better understand their bodies.

As a mother of four, Dr. Erin understands how important it is for people to stay active and engaged in their everyday lives. This perspective helped shape a practice focused on individuals and families rather than just one type of patient.

Today, our woman-owned Chattanooga wellness clinic brings together chiropractors, licensed massage therapists, and clinical support professionals who share that vision. Each team member has a different role, but everyone contributes to an experience built around thoughtful care, education, and respect for the patient.
